www.photoevents.com.au Instagram: @gzzr001 A personalised and boutique photography service. An accomplished visual artist based in Melbourne, Australia, with over three decades of expertise in both commercial and fine art stills photography. I am an enthusiastic and energetic professional with a keen focus on exceeding client expectations. A proactive and flexible individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for ongoing learning. My journey into the world of photography began in sixth grade, in a humble school broom closet transformed into a makeshift darkroom. The transformative moment of witnessing a black and white print materialise in the developer tray ignited a lifelong passion. At the age of sixteen, I embarked on a career as a cadet photographer for a remote, rural Australian newspaper in North West Victoria, marking the inception of my professional journey. This experience led me to study a Fine Arts degree majoring in photography; following this I dedicated four years to assisting various advertising and editorial photographers in both Sydney and Melbourne before taking on a role as a news photographer for News Corp, working for daily and weekly mastheads in both cities. My current primary focus is shooting portraits, corporate headshots, actors/artists headshots, lifestyle photography, conferences & events for communications companies, PR companies, ad’ agencies and designers as well as working direct with clients; whilst continually pursuing my personal work documenting social events, the community and capturing the essence of street life. I’m currently working as a freelance camera operator for the AFL on a few of their TV shows. I’m proficiently trained in all aspects of TV production, including camera operation and video editing. I have plans to delve further into the dynamic world of ‘motion’ in the near future; watch this space. My work has been featured in global publications via syndication by an Australian picture agency. Notable advertising agencies I've collaborated with include Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB, McCann Erickson, Leo Burnett, Clemenger, DMB&B, George Patterson/Y&R, TBWA, Whybin Lawrence, and Boo. Additionally, I have contributed to work for companies and corporations such as Microsoft, McDonald's, MasterCard, News Corp, Hitachi, Hungry Jacks, AMP Insurance, Victoria Police, Tourism Victoria, Australian Dairy Farmers, The Seven Network, Snapper Media, Lynden Aged Care, Ivanhoe Grammar School, Bay Street MediaWorks, and New World Arts. My work is held in The State Library of Victoria, The State Library of New South Wales, and at The Museum of Australian Democracy, Old Parliament House, Canberra, as well as in various Private Collections. I was a part of the group exhibition titled ‘Beyond Reasonable Drought’ which was exhibited at Old Parliament House, Canberra in 2008. The exhibition documented climate change and drought across Australia and it toured nationally for 5 years. You can see my videos I have shot and edited here: https://www.youtube.com/@gzzr001/videos My commitment to my craft and its versatility continues to drive my artistic passion for the world of visual storytelling. I am located on St Kilda Rd, in St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia. I like a Negroni, or a Piña Colada, and I’m available for drinks, discussions and commissions.
