When I became a Celebrant in 2005 I realised I had found the perfect occupation, celebrating life! My aim is to create ceremonies that help celebrate my clients' lives - seeing the joy and emotion on a groom’s face as his radiant bride walks down the aisle is priceless. Working with couples to prepare their ceremony is a joy as their stories often inspire or humble me by their openness. I’ve even been the catalyst for a proposal. During a holiday, a fellow traveller proposed to his partner of 20 years in front of a jeweller’s shop in Juneau, Alaska. I was told the big news over dinner and joked that I’d travel to the Gold Coast to marry them ...which I did a few months later! "
