DJ DETAILED REVIEW - [ ] Was great that when we arrived, the system was set up. We arrived @ 6pm and this was done ahead of schedule. Positive - [ ] When the do arrived, we did not know who he was nor did he look out to say hello to us. I just noticed someone behind the desk. Negative - [ ] Music was played in the background, it wasn’t the choice of music i thought was appropriate for the crowd, but it was in the background so ok. Neutral - [ ] I went up to theDJ and said im the father of the birthday girl. This was about an hour in. Again, negative - [ ] I provided a bit of schedule as to what time we expect music time to kick off, which was to be approx 9pm after the formalities. I also discussed if the ist of music provided was on hand which he said yes. Positive - [ ] After the formalities, the music started with Happy birthday by Stevie wonder - [ ] From here it went sour. The sound quality was terrible, high midrange, distorted, no clarity at all. Some of the worst sound quality I’ve heard at any event. No tuning to the room at all. Negative - [ ] The music was so loud i had to ask it be lowered. There were older people there and be more sympathetic to their needs. It was lowered. Positive - [ ] 2 minutes later, it was loud and asked to have it lowered. This happened several times over the evening. Negative - [ ] The requested music on the playlist was not played at all. I had to keep asking to play the songs and show him exactly which ones they were. It was tiring. I hired a DJ to do the work for me and ended up controlling most songs. Negative - [ ] People started leaving due to the volume approx 10pm which impacted the night. Negative - [ ] The DJ also helped himself to the bar several times for ‘free drinks’ of which was beer. I found this poor at best. Didn’t ask nor introduce himself. Negative - [ ] In the end, none of the music we had in the list was played, i ended up plugging in my wife’s phone to send music to it to play. It was frustrating all round. We had the list to play from Spotify. Negative - [ ] Also, when people were on the dance floor, the room wasn’t read as to what sort of music people showed interest in. The next song would be such a poor choice (not on the list or style of on the list), people kept vacating the dance floor. Negative There are more general issues as the night progressed of which wasn’t great. There was no mixing of songs, just ran to the end and the next one started. I would’ve been better off just running my own playlist through a boom box. Would’ve been more tasteful for the crowd. It’s the one big negative i was getting all night, where’s the songs on the list and why is this stuff being played not to mention such terrible sound. ADVICE, look elsewhere, didn’t even bother to respond to this detailed feedback i provided to them. All in all, a very negative experience.

14th B'day party, everything was ok. The DJ was very flexible.

Thanks! It was a great night. Honestly I'd just say keep doing what you're doing. We managed to get more people dancing than I anticipated, so that was great. The QR codes for requests are a great idea too. Thanks again for all your help and being part of it.

Thank you so much for being our DJ for the charity ball. We were pleased that the DJ Lawrence was able to understand and the gauge the crowd based on their reactions to different music.
