At the young age of 13 Cam Ellis discovered that his real passion and purpose in life lies in music. Since then it has been his driving force to share his music to as many people he can. By 14 he was gigging and creating a name for himself as a solo artist performing with acts like the Birds of Tokyo and Ash Grunwald. At the age of 16 he placed 3rd in a state competition in WA, with over 40 competing acts. This achievement gave way to radio interviews, newspaper articles, magazine write ups and a growing awareness of his talents and skills. Since then, his musical career has flourished in many directions including a time spent studying a Bachelor of Composition at WAAPA. He regularly performs gigs as a solo artist in bars, pubs, venues and at celebrations throughout the Perth and South West regions. A unique blend of acoustic, pop, rock and blues allows for a variety-filled performance keeping the audience entertained for hours, even when the night gets late and the dancing legs begin to twitch. His thrive for musical excellence and quality sound makes for an inspiring and intriguing performance every time as he try to keep the night fresh with different instruments, tones and styles. Cam is also the lead guitarist for popular Perth band Lights of Berlin who are have just finished their 2nd National Tour; Foxchild, an RnB/Top Cover Band with the highest Calibre of musicians in Perth and Foxchild Trio, an acoustic version of the full band for smaller venues. All of Cam's recordings to date have been self written, recorded and produced showing he has quite a 'knack' for sound engineering and production as well. Cam's strive for excellence allows for only top quality equipment to be used for each of his performances. An Australian hand-made quality Maton guitar, and custom made, hand-wired Ceriatone boutique amp are a combination carefully selected by him to produce an unbeatable sound quality for any venue and setting. This budding artist is one to be looked out for in the future.
