Hey there, I’m Jess! I’ve always had a passion for weddings, and before becoming a celebrant, I loved helping friends and family get ready for their big day. I’ve been a bridesmaid a few times and have played the role of ceremony music coordinator, usher, and day-of coordinator for friends. In fact, I attended nine weddings just in 2023! Now, I’m thrilled to take things up a notch and legally marry couples. I really enjoy working with couples to create their dream ceremony and keep everything fun and relaxed, both in the lead-up and on the big day. It’s such a special moment, and I believe it should be memorable for everyone involved. I’ve been married to my husband, Jacob, since 2018, and we have two little boys, Artie and Patty. We love taking the kids camping and exploring Australia—especially when we get to check out new wedding venues along the way! Planning our own wedding was such a joy, and I bring that same enthusiasm to crafting ceremonies with my clients. Right now, we live in Hornsby (Sydney), but we’re excited to be moving to Port Macquarie in 2025! I grew up in Sydney, but I’m definitely a country girl at heart. With Jacob’s roots in rural NSW and QLD, we can’t wait to get out of the city and keep exploring. Most of the couples I work with are getting married around Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle, and the mid-North Coast, but I love to travel, so don’t hesitate to reach out if your wedding is further afield—we might be able to make it work! I have a degree in engineering and project management and spent several years in that field before diving into property investing. Now, I run our buyer’s agent business, helping clients find investment properties. My project and time management skills come in handy as an authorized marriage celebrant, too! I handle all the legal stuff, ceremony planning, and coordination, so you can kick back and enjoy the day. In my free time, I love bushwalking (though it’s a bit trickier with toddlers), crafting (I’m up for any new hobby and love making hand-crafted gifts), and public speaking. I’m all about planning and making every moment count!

Jessica Hyland Celebrant services all of NSW, Darwin, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Townsville, Hervey Bay and Maryborough
